To me the Hassler is one of those sure things in life like the sun rising in the East and setting in the West. My spouse and I have stayed here on multiple occasions like my parents did before us. I think I was eight years old when I first came and now many decades later we come back. The service is impeccable, understated and professional without being overwhelming. The rooms are small but this is Europe, the beds and pillows are so comfortable my eyes start to flutter the minute I lay down. The is possibly the nicest hotel I've ever stay. The service is another level. Everything about the Hotel Hassler is perfection, except the water temperature in the shower. It's a small inconvenience for this level of luxury and personal attention. If you don't mind climbing the Spanish Steps to your hotel, you will love the Hotel Hassler. If you do get tired of the steps the hotel has a van that will take you for free and it's only a 3 euro ride back up.
